A warm white GU10 lamp designed for compact retrofit use

ALL LED AGU470D/27 is the 2700K version of the Caterham 4.7W high output dimmable GU10 lamp. It is designed as a direct replacement for standard GU10 lamps and gives buyers a modern LED option that combines compact retrofit sizing with stronger light output than many lower powered retrofit lamps. ALL LED states that the Caterham range is designed for use in ventilated and open back fire-rated downlights, which makes it a particularly relevant choice for domestic and similar recessed ceiling lighting schemes using GU10 lamp holders.

The official technical datasheet lists AGU470D/27 at 4.7W with 443 lumens total output and 380 lumens useful luminous flux. Beam angle is 36 degrees, CRI is above 80 and peak intensity is 617 candela. Operating voltage is 220 to 240V AC with maximum operating current of 0.03A and power factor of 0.7. The lamp is IP20, Class II, dimmable and suitable for both leading edge and trailing edge dimming. Lifetime is listed at 15,000 hours L70 B50 with more than 50,000 switching cycles and a 2-year guarantee.

Why the 2700K version matters

The biggest buying difference between this variant and its 3000K or 4000K siblings is the light colour. At 2700K, AGU470D/27 gives the warmest tone in the range. That makes it a better fit for spaces where atmosphere matters more than a crisper task-led look. Living rooms, bedrooms, lounges, reception spaces and other comfort-focused interiors often suit this warmer colour temperature because it helps the space feel more relaxed and less clinical.

That warmer tone also works well with dimming. ALL LED highlights OptiDim technology and dim to zero performance on the product page, which supports the lamp's role in mood-led lighting schemes where lower light levels are part of the design rather than an occasional extra.

High output from a compact GU10 format

ALL LED describes the Caterham as a high output GU10 and the datasheet supports that positioning. For a 4.7W retrofit GU10 lamp, 443 lumens total output is a strong figure. It helps the lamp stay useful in everyday downlighting rather than being limited to secondary accent work only. The 36 degree beam angle gives a practical middle ground between a very narrow accent beam and a very wide flood, so it works well in common recessed ceiling layouts.

The product page also highlights energy saving of up to 92 percent compared with standard GU10 bulbs, together with 100 percent recycled packaging and sleeves of 10 for labour and waste saving. Those details make the Caterham range attractive both for project work and for more sustainable lamp replacement programmes.

Where AGU470D/27 fits best

AGU470D/27 is best suited to indoor GU10 lighting where a warm white finish and smooth dimming are both important. It pairs well with GU10 fire-rated downlights, GU10 wall lights, GU10 spike lights and separate GU10 lampholders. Overall, it is a strong choice for buyers who want a compact dimmable GU10 with a warmer lighting character, good output and broad dimmer compatibility.
