A crisp neutral white GU10 lamp for brighter looking interiors

ALL LED AGU470D/40 is the 4000K version of the Caterham 4.7W high output dimmable GU10 lamp. It is designed as a direct replacement for standard GU10 lamps and is intended for use in ventilated and open back fire-rated downlights. For buyers upgrading existing GU10 lighting, that makes it an easy route to more efficient LED performance without changing the fitting body or moving away from a familiar lamp format.

The official technical datasheet lists AGU470D/40 at 4.7W with 486 lumens total output and 414 lumens useful luminous flux. Beam angle is 36 degrees, CRI is above 80 and peak intensity is 639 candela. Operating voltage is 220 to 240V AC with maximum operating current of 0.03A and power factor of 0.7. The lamp is IP20, Class II, dimmable and suitable for both leading edge and trailing edge dimming. Lifetime is listed at 15,000 hours L70 B50 with more than 50,000 switching cycles and a 2-year guarantee.

Why choose the 4000K version

The key buying reason to choose AGU470D/40 over the warmer Caterham variants is its 4000K colour temperature. This gives a cleaner more neutral white appearance that is often better suited to practical and task-led environments. Kitchens, utility rooms, circulation spaces and some retail or display settings often benefit from this type of light because it gives surfaces and finishes a crisper look than a softer warm white lamp.

That does not make it a cold or harsh option. It simply places the emphasis more on clarity than ambience. For buyers who feel 2700K is too warm and 3000K still slightly soft for the application, 4000K is often the better fit.

Strong output with dimmable flexibility

ALL LED positions the Caterham range as a high output GU10 and AGU470D/40 is the strongest performing of the three variants here in lumen terms. At 486 lumens total output and 414 lumens useful output, it gives a solid level of illumination from a compact 4.7W lamp. The 36 degree beam angle keeps the light controlled for standard recessed ceiling layouts while still giving a practical spread for general interior lighting.

The product page also highlights OptiDim technology and dim to zero performance, supporting its use in dimmed circuits even where a more neutral white light is preferred. ALL LED also states energy saving of up to 92 percent compared with standard GU10 bulbs, together with 100 percent recycled packaging and sleeves of 10 for labour and waste saving.

Where AGU470D/40 fits best

AGU470D/40 is best suited to indoor GU10 lighting where a crisp neutral white result is wanted together with dependable dimming and good output. It works well with GU10 fire-rated downlights, GU10 wall lights, GU10 spike lights and separate GU10 lampholders. Overall, it is a strong Caterham variant for buyers who want more visual clarity from their GU10 lighting without giving up the convenience of a compact retrofit dimmable lamp.
