Ideal for

  • Single-phase homes requiring a 7.4kW socketed charger
  • Buyers wanting to select and store their own charging cable
  • Properties needing wired Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi
  • Visible installations using interchangeable Seren covers
  • Domestic wall installations requiring IP55 and IK10 ratings

Works well with

  • Compatible Mode 3 Type 2 charging cables
  • 2.4GHz home Wi-Fi networks
  • Wired Ethernet connections
  • Aurora Seren accessory covers 600001 to 600006
  • Installer-designed circuits with suitable upstream protection

The Aurora Seren 600000 is a Polar White 7.4kW socketed EV charger for a 230V AC single-phase supply, with a 32A maximum current, Mode 3 Type 2 outlet and an IP55 enclosure. It is the standard residential Seren unit without the separate dynamic-load-balancing designation used by model 600000DLB. This version suits buyers who want a removable charging cable, app scheduling and a choice between wireless and wired network connections.

  • 7.4kW rated output with a 32A maximum current
  • 230V AC single-phase incoming supply
  • Untethered Mode 3 Type 2 charging outlet
  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet connectivity
  • Integrated 30mA AC, 6mA DC and PEN fault protection
  • 328mm high x 239mm wide x 159mm deep in Polar White
  • IP55 ingress protection with IK10 impact resistance

How does Seren schedule charging?

The Seren Energy App allows the owner to start or stop a session remotely, create charging schedules and monitor energy use. The unit can still provide basic charging without relying on the app, subject to its commissioned settings and access controls.

The front light feature provides visible charger status and helps locate the socket in low-light conditions. App and firmware updates should be accepted when issued so the charger retains current software and available functions.

The installation can use a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network or a wired Ethernet connection. Ethernet is useful where the charger is mounted beyond dependable wireless coverage, although the cable route needs to be planned during installation.

How does the socketed format work?

The Type 2 outlet requires a compatible Mode 3 charging cable to connect the charger to the vehicle. As the lead is removable, the customer can select the length around the parking layout and replace the cable independently if their requirements change.

The standard 600000 unit has a Polar White exterior. Aurora lists Sky Blue, Aqua Light, Storm Blue, Deep Coral, Midnight and Stealth Black covers as separate accessories, allowing the appearance to be changed without replacing the charger.

Because the charging lead is not fixed to the unit, cable supply should be confirmed separately at the point of order. The selected lead must have the correct vehicle connector, current rating and length for the installation.

What must be checked before fitting?

The charger includes 30mA AC and 6mA DC residual-current protection together with PEN fault detection. The installer must still design the final circuit around the property supply, cable route, maximum demand, disconnection requirements and current wiring regulations.

Product code 600000 should not be described as including dynamic load balancing. Aurora lists 600000DLB as a separate model specifically identified as the version with DLB. Projects requiring building-level demand control should therefore use the correct variant and metering arrangement.

The enclosure is intended for residential wall mounting and is rated IP55 and IK10. Cable entries, network connections and fixings must be completed without reducing the published enclosure protection.

Does Seren 600000 include dynamic load balancing?

No. Aurora identifies 600000DLB as the separate Seren model supplied with dynamic load-balancing capability. The standard 600000 record should not state that DLB equipment is included.

Is a charging cable supplied with the charger?

The charger itself is an untethered Type 2 unit rather than a model with a permanently attached lead. Cable inclusion should be confirmed separately, and the customer should select a compatible Mode 3 lead for the vehicle and parking layout.

Can Seren use a wired network connection?

Yes. Aurora specifies Ethernet as an alternative to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. The data route should be planned before mounting where the selected wall position has weak wireless coverage.

Can the Polar White cover be changed?

Yes. Aurora lists six coloured accessory covers for the 600000 charger. Each cover has its own product code and should be treated as an accessory rather than a replacement charger SKU.
