10 Year Manufacturer Warranty ★ Ideal for * Fox ESS EP battery systems with more than one battery * Wall-mounted battery junction positions * Residential storage installations using EP6 or EP12 batteries * Installers standardising EP parallel battery layouts ⚡ Works well with * Fox ESS EP6 high-voltage batteries * Fox ESS EP12 high-voltage batteries * Fox ESS H1-G2 and KH hybrid inverter systems * Fox ESS-approved battery power and grounding cables Description Specifications Data Sheets Delivery The Fox ESS EP Junction Box, also listed on the existing LAMPS page as HV-JUNCTION-BOX-50, is a 500V DC battery junction accessory for compatible EP battery parallel systems, rated at 50A maximum continuous current with IP65 ingress protection. It suits EP battery installations where the Fox ESS design requires a wall-mounted junction box to connect multiple battery modules to the inverter. Supports up to four parallel batteries in the approved Fox ESS configuration 500V DC rated voltage with 50A maximum continuous current BAT+, BAT-, PCS+ and PCS- cable entries with grounding terminal No network monitoring or app connectivity is listed for the junction box 65A peak current for 60 seconds with natural cooling 223mm wide x 246mm high x 89mm deep, 2.2kg, wall-mounted installation IP65 ingress protection with indoor and outdoor installation listed When is the EP junction box required? The junction box is used where multiple Fox ESS EP batteries are connected in parallel as part of an approved system design. It provides the dedicated connection point between the battery side and the PCS or inverter side. For a single EP battery, the installer should check the current battery manual and inverter configuration before adding accessories. For multi-battery EP designs, the junction box should be treated as a system accessory rather than an optional extra. How many EP batteries can it link? The Fox ESS manual lists a maximum number of four parallel batteries for this junction box. The page should not claim any larger battery count unless Fox ESS publishes an updated accessory document for the exact supplied item. The final usable storage capacity depends on which EP batteries are installed. EP6 and EP12 capacities must not be mixed into this accessory page as if the box itself stores energy. What comes in the box? The packing list includes the box, fixings, a 1.2m ground cable, a 1.2m power cable and a quick installation guide. Installers still need to confirm whether additional battery and inverter cables are supplied elsewhere in the battery kit or must be ordered separately. The product is wall mounted. The manual also states that the wall slope should be within ±5 degrees, so the mounting surface should be checked before installation. Does the EP junction box store energy? No. It is a connection accessory for EP battery systems and has no storage capacity of its own. Battery capacity comes from the connected EP modules. What is the current rating of the junction box? The Fox ESS manual lists 50A maximum continuous current and 65A peak current for 60 seconds. The full battery and inverter system must still be designed within the approved Fox ESS limits. Can it be installed outdoors? The manual lists indoor and outdoor installation and IP65 ingress protection. The installation position still needs to follow the manual, including mounting, cable entry and environmental requirements.
