The Fox ESS EP6 Plus is a 5.76kWh high-voltage LFP battery with 192V nominal voltage, 174V to 219V operating voltage and an IP65 enclosure for indoor or outdoor installation. It suits residential Fox ESS battery systems where the customer needs a smaller EP module with heating, floor or wall mounting and expansion up to four units in parallel.

  • 5.76kWh nominal energy with 192V nominal battery voltage
  • 174V to 219V operating voltage with 30A maximum charge and discharge current
  • Floor or wall-mounted high-voltage battery module with CAN communication
  • Five LED indicators and maximum four units in parallel
  • 90% depth of discharge, fire protection function and LFP battery chemistry
  • 380mm wide x 640mm high x 185mm deep, 51kg, IP65 enclosure
  • IEC 62619, EN IEC 61000-6-1/2/3/4 and UN38.3 listed in the datasheet

Where does EP6 fit in the EP range?

EP6 is the smaller retained EP battery, with 5.76kWh nominal energy per unit. It sits below EP12 in capacity and allows the storage system to be built in smaller increments where a larger single module would oversize the job.

The official datasheet names the model EP6 Plus, while the supplier code is EP 6. Use EP6 Plus in the product identity and keep the supplier code in purchasing data so the page aligns with both sources.

How far can the EP6 system scale?

The EP6 datasheet lists a maximum of four units in parallel, giving a maximum nominal energy of 23.04kWh. Fox ESS UK also lists EP6 configurations from one to four batteries for H1-G2 and K Series systems.

For installations with two to four EP batteries, Fox ESS UK notes that a junction box is required. That accessory requirement should be visible in the product data and checked before quoting.

What does the heating function change?

The EP6 datasheet lists standard operating temperatures of 0°C to 55°C for charge and -10°C to 55°C for discharge. With the warm-up function on, the listed operating range is -25°C to 55°C for both charge and discharge.

This does not remove the need to check location, ventilation, clearance and the current installation manual. Storage temperature is listed as -10°C to 40°C, and humidity is listed as 5% to 95% with no condensation.

Is the official model EP6 or EP6 Plus?

The system name is EP6 and the official datasheet lists the model as EP6 Plus. The supplier price list uses code EP 6, so the product page should show EP6 Plus while keeping EP 6 as the supplier code where needed.

How many EP6 batteries can be connected?

The EP6 datasheet lists a maximum of four units in parallel, and Fox ESS UK lists EP6 capacity from 5.76kWh to 23.04kWh. Fox ESS UK also states that a junction box is required when installing two to four EP batteries.

What is the EP6 charge and discharge current?

The datasheet lists 30A maximum charge and discharge current, 15A recommended charge current, 65A peak discharge current for 60 seconds and 36A peak charge current for 5 seconds. Current is affected by temperature, cell voltage and state of charge.

What warranty should be shown for EP6?

The current Fox ESS EP battery warranty policy lists a 120-month standard performance warranty from installation, capped at 126 months from manufacture. Product registration and the stated monitoring conditions apply.
