Ideal for

  • Long private driveways and deeper parking bays
  • Chargers mounted away from the vehicle inlet
  • Two-car households using different parking positions
  • Brick, grey render and mixed exterior materials
  • Solar PV homes requiring load and export measurement

Works well with

  • Supplied CT clamp for automatic load management
  • Intelligent Octopus Go through Hypervolt integration
  • OVO Charge Anytime with Home 3 Pro
  • EV-Ultra, HyperConnect or Cat5e CT extensions
  • Optional hardwired Ethernet

The Hypervolt Home 3 Pro HV3PROAASG100T2 is a Space Grey 7.4kW tethered EV charger for a 230V AC, 50Hz single-phase supply, with a fixed 10m Type 2 cable and an IP66 enclosure. It is the longest Space Grey Type 2 version in the range and suits installations where the wall or pole position cannot be placed close to the regular vehicle inlet. The electrical platform is shared with the shorter variants, with cable length and installed weight providing the principal differences.

  • 7.4kW maximum output with a 32A rated current
  • 230V AC, 50Hz single-phase incoming supply
  • Fixed 10m Mode 3 cable with Type 2 connector
  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE and optional Ethernet
  • Internal 6mA DC detection with integrated PEN protection
  • 328mm high x 243mm wide x 101mm deep, 7.3kg, Space Grey
  • IP66 ingress protection with IK10 impact resistance

How does it manage energy use?

The Hypervolt app provides scheduled charging, access locking, consumption reports and adjustable charger settings. Boost allows normal charging, Eco combines grid energy with available solar and Super Eco uses sufficient exported solar generation without deliberately drawing grid power.

The supplied CT clamp is installed at the service origin to measure property demand and discover solar export. Automatic load management can reduce the EV charging current as total demand approaches the configured electrical-service limit.

Current official integrations include Intelligent Octopus Go and OVO Charge Anytime. Customers must complete the relevant supplier's connection process and satisfy its tariff and smart-meter requirements.

Who benefits from the 10m lead?

The cable is intended for long or awkward private routes, including chargers mounted near a meter position while the car parks further down the drive. It also provides tolerance where two drivers use different bays or alternate between forward and reverse parking.

The longer lead creates more storage demand than the shorter siblings. The charger body and connector holster should be positioned so the cable can be wound without crossing a doorway, footpath or vehicle wheel track. Supporting cable and data products can be reviewed in the EV cabling range.

What are the circuit requirements?

The Home 3 Pro includes integrated PEN fault protection and 6mA DC residual-current detection. External AC protection remains required and must be an individual double-pole device rated at least Type A.

The electrician must also install a suitable overcurrent device. Hypervolt's installation guide instructs the designer to consider either 32A or 40A according to the operating environment, device location and expected charging duration.

The CT route can be extended up to 50m with Cat5e or up to 100m with HyperConnect or EV-Ultra cable. Optional Ethernet can be added where the mounting location does not receive dependable Wi-Fi.

Is HV3PROAASG100T2 the longest grey version?

Yes. Hypervolt lists 5m, 7.5m and 10m Type 2 tethered options. This SKU is the Space Grey 10m model.

Does the 10m cable change charging power?

No. The 5m, 7.5m and 10m variants are all rated at up to 7.4kW and 32A on a single-phase supply. The longer cable changes physical reach and unit weight rather than output.

Can it be installed on a pole?

Yes. Hypervolt lists wall and pole mounting for the Home 3 Pro. The supporting structure, fixings and cable entries must be suitable for the 7.3kg installed unit and maintain the enclosure rating.

What happens during a PEN fault?

The integrated protection isolates all conductors when a qualifying PEN conductor fault is detected. This permits installation on a suitable PME supply without adding a separate earth electrode.
