The Hypervolt Home 3 Pro HV3PROAASG050T2 is a Space Grey 7.4kW tethered EV charger for a 230V AC, 50Hz single-phase circuit, supplied with a 5m Type 2 lead and an IP66 enclosure. It is intended for close domestic parking positions and visible wall or pole installations where a mid-tone finish suits the property. How does Space Grey suit visible installs?

The cover colour is the distinguishing feature between this model and the corresponding Ultra White and Ultra Black 5m units. Space Grey provides less contrast on many brick elevations, grey garage doors and mixed masonry finishes while retaining the same electrical hardware and operating modes.

The unit and its connector holster should be mounted between 0.5m and 1.5m above ground. Hypervolt recommends locating the holster approximately half a metre to the side of the charger, subject to the wall construction, safe cable route and accessibility of the charging inlet.

How do Eco and Super Eco differ?

Eco mode can combine available solar generation with electricity from the grid. Super Eco is the solar-only setting, so charging depends on sufficient export being available. Boost mode is used when the driver requires normal charging without waiting for surplus solar.

The primary CT clamp measures the incoming property load and solar export. This information also supports automatic load management, which can reduce EV charging current when total demand approaches the configured service limit.

What should be checked at commissioning?

The installer must confirm the maximum-current setting, automatic load-management dial position, CT direction, network connection and external protective arrangement. The factory maximum is 32A, although the unit can be permanently derated using the internal dip switches.

Commissioning can be completed through the Hypervolt Installer App using Bluetooth. The process includes network setup, customer details, automated tests and handover. Installation registration must be completed within 48 hours to validate the warranty.
