The myenergi zappi GLO ZAPPI-3AS07T-G is a 7kW tethered EV charger for a 230V AC single-phase supply, with a 6A to 32A operating range, fixed 6.5m Type 2 cable and IP65 enclosure. It suits domestic and light shared-use sites where app-led operation is preferred over a graphical charger display. This exact tethered version differs from ZAPPI-3AS07U-G, which uses a Type 2 socket and removable lead.

How is GLO controlled without a screen?

The myenergi app provides session management, schedules, charger settings and performance monitoring. Multicolour status lighting gives local feedback, while RFID access can restrict charging and identify authorised users.

RFID reading is built into the unit, but myenergi describes the Tap-to-Charge keycard as optional. Required cards should therefore be confirmed separately rather than assumed to be included in every box.

Intelligent Octopus Go currently provides an official zappi connection process. OVO also lists zappi 2.1 and zappi GLO as Charge Anytime compatible, subject to current firmware, an eligible account, a compatible smart meter and the provider's onboarding conditions.

Where does the 6.5m lead work best?

The fixed lead suits regular parking positions where the connector can reach without tension. At 6.5m, it provides more tolerance than a short home-charger lead while remaining easier to store than many long-reach cables.

The cable route should be measured around the vehicle rather than in a straight line. The connector must reach the inlet without crossing steps, gates, public footways or areas where the lead may be trapped under a wheel.

What must be confirmed before installation?

GLO includes 6mA DC residual-current detection and PEN fault protection on the UK -G model. The installation manual notes that an upstream 30mA Type A RCD may be required according to the local circuit and applicable rules.

CT sensing is used for home energy management, solar measurement and load control. The installer must confirm the required CT count and route, especially where solar PV, a battery or other myenergi equipment is already installed. The myenergi harvi can support suitable installations where a direct CT cable route is impractical.
