The Rolec EVO/Zura/WallPod/Tap & Charge Mounting Post is a freestanding post accessory for selected Rolec EV charging equipment. EVFP0035 is listed by Rolec across current EVO, Zura and WallPod accessory pages as a mounting post that fits up to two units and conforms with PAS 1899. Tap & Charge also lists EVFP0035 as a mounting post accessory that conforms with PAS 1899, making it relevant where the payment terminal needs a post-mounted position. It is used where a wall is not available, where a charger needs to sit closer to the bay, or where two compatible units are being considered on one support. The post should be specified after the charger or terminal model is confirmed, because WallPod, Zura, EVO and Tap & Charge accessories may also require range-specific plates or mounting components.

Which Rolec products use this post?

EVFP0035 appears on Rolec’s current EVO, Zura and WallPod accessory listings as a mounting post that fits up to two units. It is also listed on the Tap & Charge accessory page as a mounting post that conforms with PAS 1899. That makes it a cross-range accessory, but it should still be matched to the exact charger or terminal being installed.

The charger family affects the surrounding parts. WallPod installations may need the WallPod plate for mounting post. EVO installations have their own plate accessory. Tap & Charge has a plate for mounting post and a separate premium mounting pedestal route. Zura is listed with the post as part of its wall or post mounting option. The correct schedule starts with the charger or terminal, then the post, then any plate or barrier item.

When a shared post makes sense

A post that fits up to two units is useful where two compatible chargepoints need to be mounted in a single position. That can reduce the number of separate supports in a small bay layout and keep the installation visually cleaner. It can also help where two parking spaces sit back to back or side by side and the charger position needs to be central.

Two-unit mounting needs more planning than one-unit mounting. The installer should check charger access, cable reach, door or fascia orientation, user approach and any vehicle movement around the post. Where two chargers are fitted, each user needs a safe route to the charger and a sensible cable path to the vehicle. A post that is electrically convenient but awkward for users will create problems after handover.

Tap & Charge post positioning

Tap & Charge is a remote contactless payment terminal used with compatible Rolec chargepoints. When it is installed on EVFP0035, the post position should be chosen from how drivers move between the EV bay and the payment point. The terminal needs to be visible and accessible, but it should not push users into a traffic route or across active charging cables.

For sites with several chargers, the payment terminal can act like a shared point of interaction. The post should be placed where it is logical for the group of chargers it serves. Signage, lighting and bay layout matter because occasional users need to find the terminal quickly. For broader Rolec accessory planning, see the Rolec range.

Post location and protection barriers

Freestanding posts are more exposed than equipment mounted on a wall. Vehicle impact risk should therefore be assessed before fixing positions are finalised. The post should not be located only from the electrical route. It should also be set against bay markings, turning movement, wheel stop positions, cable sweep and maintenance clearance.

Where vehicles manoeuvre close to the post, a root mount EV chargepoint protection barrier can be specified during groundworks. On finished surfaces, a surface mounted barrier may be more practical. Barrier placement should protect the charger or terminal without blocking access to sockets, screens, payment hardware or cable storage.

Choosing between Rolec post options

EVFP0035 is the cross-range mounting post for EVO, Zura, WallPod and Tap & Charge accessory schedules. EVFP0010 is a separate 1350mm galvanised steel post listed in the WallPod data sheet. EVFP0065 and EVFP0075 are SecuriCharge mounting posts for one or up to two SecuriCharge chargers. Those products should not be swapped without checking the charger family.

For a Zura or EVO project, EVFP0035 is the post to review first. For a WallPod project, check whether EVFP0035 and the WallPod plate are the required route or whether the WallPod-specific post is being used. For Tap & Charge, confirm whether the project uses this mounting post, the post plate, or the premium mounting pedestal route before ordering.
