  • Compatible Type 2 Mode 3 cables
  • Easee App and Easee Control
  • Cloud OCPP 1.6J service providers
  • Easee Ready commercial infrastructure

Plan the site before selecting the maximum output

The black Easee Charge 10223 is a compact, socketed commercial charger for workplaces, apartment parking, fleets and other managed sites. On a suitable supply it supports 1.4–7.4kW single-phase charging, 4.1–22kW on three-phase TN and 2.4–12.7kW on three-phase IT, with adjustable current from 6A to 32A.

Full 22kW output requires a suitable 400V three-phase TN circuit, available site capacity and a vehicle that can accept 22kW AC. The product rating does not mean every vehicle or every bay will charge at that rate.

Socketed Type 2 connection

The IEC 62196-2 Type 2 socket lets the driver or site operator select the Mode 3 cable separately. Cable rating, length and the vehicle-end connector must suit the bay and intended charging rate. Easee also allows a compatible Type 2 cable to be locked permanently to create a tethered-style routine.

The assembled charger measures 256 × 193 × 106mm and weighs 1.5kg. Its black cover can be replaced separately, but this page and catalogue identity are for the black product 10223.

Local balancing and site scale

Easee Link coordinates load and phase use locally between Easee Charge units and can continue balancing when the internet is unavailable. Automatic queuing manages charging order when the power available to the connected vehicles is insufficient.

Easee documents up to 101 Easee Charge units per circuit. That limit does not remove the need for engineered circuit groups, communications and capacity planning. The electrical designer must assess the incoming supply, diversity, expected dwell time and required service level.

An Easee Equalizer is not required for basic charger-to-charger balancing. A correctly specified Equalizer is required when charging must respond dynamically to the building's main fuse and wider electrical demand.

RFID, connectivity and OCPP

The charger supports RFID/NFC access, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, built-in LTE Cat M1/eSIM and Easee Link RF. Easee's app and site-management services depend on commissioning, account permissions and available connectivity.

Cloud OCPP 1.6J supports integration with a compatible operator or back office after the required onboarding. It should not be treated as an unrestricted direct OCPP connection or as an included billing service.

The built-in energy meter is specified to ±2%, but it is not MID compliant. Any use involving billing, reimbursement or regulated measurement must be designed around the project's legal and contractual requirements.

Protection and installation responsibilities

Easee Charge includes a Type A 30mA AC RCD, a 6mA DC RDC-DD, overload protection and temperature monitoring. Internal protection does not replace correct circuit design or the required upstream overcurrent device; an additional external RCD can still be needed depending on the circuit construction and other connected equipment.

The assembled enclosure is IP54 and IK10, Class I and overvoltage category III. Installation is for an authorised electrician. Follow Easee's mounting and siting instructions, including the cautions for direct rain, direct sunlight, mounting surface and orientation.

Why buy Easee Charge from LAMPS?

LAMPS supplies electrical products to commercial installers, facilities teams and property projects through established trade counters and branches. Easee Charge is most relevant where socketed connections, RFID access and coordinated multi-charger operation match a designed site plan.

Call 01844 393939 to discuss product choice and related electrical materials, or browse the commercial EV charger range. Product supply does not replace the designer's capacity study, protection design, installation, commissioning or operator onboarding.

Common questions

Will every vehicle charge at 22kW?

No. Up to 22kW requires a suitable 400V three-phase TN supply and a vehicle with a compatible onboard AC charger. The site capacity and configured current can impose a lower rate.

Is a vehicle cable included?

The charger has a Type 2 socket rather than a fixed vehicle lead. Select a compatible Mode 3 cable separately. A cable can be locked permanently to the socket where the site wants a tethered-style arrangement.

Is an Equalizer always required?

No. Easee Link handles local charger-to-charger balancing. A suitable Equalizer is required when charging must respond dynamically to the building's main-fuse load and wider demand.

Can balancing continue without the internet?

Yes. Easee Link provides local communication and charger balancing that can continue offline. Cloud app, operator and OCPP functions still depend on connectivity.

Can the built-in meter be used for regulated billing?

Do not assume so. The built-in meter is specified to ±2% but is not MID compliant. Billing or reimbursement arrangements require project-specific legal and metering checks.

Does Easee Charge include open-PEN protection?

Open-PEN protection is not documented for this Easee Charge model. The electrician must design the earthing and protective arrangement for the actual supply and installation.
