Choose the tethered format for a regular bay

The fixed lead is ready on the wall for each session. Measure the charger position to the vehicle inlet with the car parked normally, and plan cable storage so the lead is not left across a walking route. Choose the untethered black zappi if cable removal is more important.

ECO, ECO+ and FAST

FAST operates as a conventional maximum-power charging mode. ECO varies charging in response to generation and household consumption while allowing grid contribution. ECO+ can pause when insufficient surplus is available. Actual behaviour depends on the installation, configured limits and vehicle.

Installation and protection

The charger is rated at 32A on a suitable 230V single-phase supply and includes 6mA DC residual-current protection. A competent installer must design the complete circuit, confirm earthing and protective arrangements, position the grid sensor and commission all load limits.

Common questions

Does it work without solar panels?

Yes. zappi can operate in FAST mode as a conventional Mode 3 charger; solar or wind generation is not required.

Is the cable removable?

No. This black tethered version has a fixed 6.5m Type 2 lead.

Is 7kW guaranteed?

No. 7kW is the charger rating; the vehicle, supply and configured limits determine actual power.
