Ideal for

  • Workplaces with a suitable 400V three-phase supply
  • Three-phase homes with compatible vehicles
  • Repeat-use bays within a 6.5m cable route
  • Solar PV or wind-generation sites
  • Dark brick, cladding or mounting posts

Works well with

  • myenergi app and energy ecosystem
  • myenergi harvi for suitable wireless CT routes
  • myenergi eddi and libbi installations
  • Installer-designed three-phase EV circuits
  • Vehicles supporting Type 2 three-phase AC charging

Choose the tethered black zappi when the cable route is fixed

The myenergi zappi ZAPPI-2H22TB-G is the black, tethered version of the current multiphase charger. It can supply up to 22kW at 32A on a suitable 400V three-phase installation or up to 7kW on 230V single phase. The vehicle's onboard AC charger and the completed electrical installation can impose a lower limit.

Its 6.5m Type 2 lead remains attached to the charger. Measure the practical route from the wall position to the vehicle inlet with the vehicle parked normally, allowing for gates, walking routes and cable storage. Choose the socketed version instead where drivers need to remove the lead or select different cable lengths.

ECO, ECO+ and FAST charging modes

FAST charges at the highest rate available from the charger, vehicle and installation and can be used without solar panels or other generation. ECO adjusts charging around measured site demand and available self-generation while allowing grid energy to keep the session active.

ECO+ can pause charging when the configured renewable surplus is not available. The result depends on the site's generation, other electrical demand, CT placement and commissioning; it does not guarantee solar-only charging or a particular saving.

Screen, app and connected management

A graphical backlit LCD and multicolour status LED provide controls and information at the charger. The myenergi app supports remote access when the unit has been commissioned and connected through its built-in 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Cloud OCPP 1.6J capability is available for a compatible managed-charging arrangement. It depends on suitable firmware, internet connectivity, configuration and an agreement with the selected operator; it is not an included charge-point service.

CT clamps and load management

myenergi states that three CT clamps are supplied with the 22kW three-phase zappi. They must be installed on the correct phases, in the correct direction and at the correct measurement point for the intended load-management or renewable-energy functions.

Optional dynamic load balancing can reduce charging current when site demand approaches the configured supply limit. It does not create additional electrical capacity, and the electrician remains responsible for assessing the incoming supply and designing the circuit.

Protection and installation responsibilities

The UK -G model includes PEN-fault detection and an integral 6mA DC RDC-DD to EN 62955. It does not include the upstream 30mA Type A AC device: myenergi requires a suitable Type A RCD or RCBO, with overcurrent protection selected for the installation.

The installer must determine the earthing arrangement, cable size, isolation, protective devices, phase rotation and final CT configuration. The IP65 and IK10 enclosure is intended for permanent indoor or outdoor mounting within the manufacturer's stated −25°C to +40°C range and out of direct sunlight.

Why buy this zappi from LAMPS?

LAMPS supplies electrical products to homeowners, electricians and commercial installers through established trade counters and branches. The black tethered model is the straightforward choice where a suitable three-phase supply, a repeatable parking position and a permanently available 6.5m lead have already been confirmed.

Call 01844 393939 to discuss product choice and related electrical materials, or browse the commercial EV charger range. Product supply does not replace the installer's design, testing, commissioning or certification duties.

Common questions

Will every EV charge at 22kW?

No. The zappi can offer up to 22kW on a suitable three-phase installation, but the vehicle's onboard AC charger determines what it can accept. The supply and configured circuit capacity can also reduce the rate.

Can ZAPPI-2H22TB-G be installed on single phase?

Yes. The multiphase model supports up to 7kW on 230V single phase. Its advertised 22kW capability requires a suitable 400V three-phase supply and compatible vehicle.

Can it charge without solar panels?

Yes. FAST mode permits ordinary grid charging. ECO and ECO+ add renewable-aware control where suitable generation and correctly installed CT measurement are available.

Is a 30mA Type A RCD built in?

No. The charger includes 6mA DC residual-current detection, but myenergi requires an upstream Type A RCD or RCBO. The installer selects and coordinates the final protective devices.

Does the fixed cable detach?

No. This model has a permanently attached 6.5m Type 2 lead. Choose a socketed zappi where the vehicle cable must be removable.

Is an OCPP back office included?

No. The charger supports cloud OCPP 1.6J capability, but connected operation depends on configuration, internet access and the chosen operator or service agreement.
