Ideal for

  • 20A final circuits requiring MCB protection
  • Hager Design Evo boards populated with MTN devices
  • Installations where RCD protection is handled separately
  • Domestic and light commercial distribution boards
  • Replacement of existing Hager MTN120 breakers

Works well with

  • Hager VME110, VME114 and VME120 main switch boards using MCB-protected outgoing ways
  • Hager VME410AH RCCB incomer boards where MCB protection is specified
  • Hager MZN175 padlockable locking kit for isolation control
  • Hager LZ060 heat dissipation insert where board spacing requires it
  • Hager ADB920R RCBO where individual 30mA Type A protection is needed

The Hager MTN120 is a 20A B curve single pole miniature circuit breaker with 6kA rated short-circuit breaking capacity in a 1 module DIN rail format. It is intended for compatible Hager boards where the circuit schedule calls for 20A MCB protection.

  • 20A rated current with B curve tripping characteristic
  • 6kA rated short-circuit breaking capacity to IEC 60898-1
  • Single pole 1P format in a 1 module body
  • 230 to 400V AC rated operational voltage and 50 to 60Hz frequency
  • Screw terminal top connection and biconnect bottom connection
  • 70mm depth, 17.5mm width and 83mm height
  • IP20 protection with 1 to 35mm² rigid and 1 to 25mm² flexible conductor capacity

Where does a 20A MCB fit?

MTN120 should be selected only where the final circuit design calls for a 20A B curve MCB. The electrician must confirm load, cable size, installation method, grouping and disconnection time before fitting it.

How does MTN120 compare with ADB920R?

MTN120 is an MCB, while ADB920R is an RCBO. Use MTN120 where the board design provides residual-current protection separately, and use ADB920R where the circuit needs its own Type A 30mA RCBO.

What should the page help buyers check?

The page should make the difference between MCB and RCBO clear. It should also show the 20A rating, B curve characteristic, 6kA breaking capacity and 1 module format so buyers can match the exact Hager device.

Is MTN120 a single pole device?

Yes. Hager lists MTN120 as a 1P single pole MCB.

What are the terminal capacities?

Hager lists 1 to 35mm² for rigid conductors and 1 to 25mm² for flexible conductors at the screw connections.
