That visibility can be useful where a household wants the charger to feel like a considered design choice, or where drivers need to identify charging equipment in a shared parking area. The fascia changes presentation only; it does not add charging or communications functions.

A colour for contrast and coordination

Sapphire Blue can coordinate with painted doors, wayfinding, company colours or other exterior details, but it should be selected from the real NRG render and installation photographs. Screen brightness and surrounding light can make a deep blue appear lighter or darker than it will outdoors.

It is the front cover, not the charge point

Inside the package is one Sapphire Blue fascia. There is no power electronics module, wiring base, Type 2 socket, charging lead, RFID access equipment or load-balancing hardware. A functioning Velox charger must already be present or ordered separately.

Compatibility comes before colour

Check the model record, condition of the charger and retaining points before changing the cover. This product is not suitable for unrelated enclosures, and a fascia cannot correct distortion or damage in the electronic body underneath.

Use the documented fitting sequence

NRG's modular charger separates into a backbox, sealed operating body and visible front. Follow the current instructions for making the equipment safe, releasing the existing fascia and securing the Sapphire Blue component. The cover should seat as designed without modifying its tabs or the charger casing.

Changing the colour is limited to the exterior component. Do not loosen the wall-mounted base, enter the sealed body or handle internal connections. Ask a competent installer or product support team where the equipment's condition is uncertain.

Looking after a strong colour

Dust, traffic film and water spotting may be more visible under certain light on a saturated finish. Clean only as NRG permits, using materials that will not scratch or dull the surface. Avoid chemicals that could alter the colour around printed or illuminated areas.

After fitting, visually confirm that the fascia remains secure and clear of the Type 2 socket opening. Any movement in the main unit or signs of electrical trouble require a different response from cosmetic care.
