The Rolec Type 2 Plug & Cable Holster Plate is a post-mounting plate for a compatible Type 2 cable holster.

EVFP0080 is identified in Rolec data sheet accessory lists as a Type 2 plug and cable holster plate for mounting post. It is a fitment accessory used when the installation needs the Type 2 holster mounted to a post rather than a wall. The plate does not determine the charger’s output, phase, protection or connectivity. Its purpose is to support cable and connector storage as part of a post-mounted bay layout. That makes it relevant to installers planning WallPod, EVO or commercial Rolec chargepoint positions where the user needs a clear point to return the Type 2 connector or cable after charging. It should be selected after the charger, post and holster have been confirmed.

  • Rolec product code EVFP0080
  • Type 2 plug and cable holster plate for mounting post
  • Accessory for post-mounted holster installations
  • Used with a compatible Type 2 plug and cable holster
  • Relevant where cable storage is required away from a wall
  • Listed in Rolec EV charger data sheet accessory schedules
  • Supported by Rolec accessory warranty terms

When is a holster plate needed?

The plate is needed when the holster has to be fixed to a mounting post instead of a wall. A charger installed on a post may still need a separate cable or plug storage point, particularly where the cable would otherwise be left on the ground or wrapped around the charger body. The plate gives the installer the matching accessory route for that post-mounted holster position.

Post-mounted cable storage should be planned from the user’s movement around the bay. The holster should sit where the driver can return the cable naturally after a session, without stepping into a vehicle route or stretching the cable around the post. That is especially important where two units or multiple cables share one post position.

How it works with Type 2 holsters

The related EVRS0030 accessory is listed by Rolec as a remote wall mount for a Type 2 plug or charge gun holster. EVFP0080 provides the post plate route where that storage point needs to be placed on a compatible mounting post. The two items should be checked together before ordering, because a holster and a post plate serve different purposes.

A holster supports connector and cable handling, but it does not replace a charger socket lock or electrical isolation. It is a physical storage accessory. For users, the benefit is a tidier bay and a clear return position for the cable. For installers, the benefit is a cleaner schedule of parts before the post is set out and the charger is mounted.

Post layout and cable movement

The plate position should be decided with the charger, post and parking layout in view. If the holster is too low, too high or placed on the wrong side of the post, the user may still leave the cable badly positioned. The correct location depends on the vehicle inlet position, cable length and whether one or two chargers are sharing the support.

Where the bay is used by different drivers, cable management becomes more important. Users will not all park in the same way, and Type 2 cables can easily cross walking routes if the storage point is poorly placed. The plate should be treated as part of a practical installation detail, not as a decorative accessory.

Choosing related Rolec accessories

EVFP0080 is the holster plate for mounting post. EVRS0030 is the Type 2 plug and cable holster. EVFP0035 is the cross-range Rolec mounting post used with selected EVO, Zura, WallPod and Tap & Charge installations. The correct combination depends on the charger family and the final mounting route.

For a complete cable storage package, check the charger, post, plate and holster together. Socketed charger sites may also need a separate Type 2 cable. Tethered charger sites may need a holster if the connector does not already have a suitable storage point. See the Rolec Type 2 plug and cable holster for the matching storage accessory.
