The untethered myenergi zappi GLO is a screenless 7kW single-phase charger with a locking Type 2 socket. It offers the GLO platform’s compact footprint and app-led operation while allowing the vehicle cable to be removed, stored or changed to suit the parking arrangement.

Why choose untethered GLO?

The Type 2 socket leaves the wall free of a permanently attached lead. Select a separate Type 2 Mode 3 cable only after confirming the vehicle inlet and measuring the bay. Store the cable securely when it is not connected.

Screenless control and RFID

GLO is managed through the myenergi app rather than a front display. The charger uses a multicolour LED for status and has an RFID reader for controlled access. Wi-Fi provides the main internet connection, while Bluetooth and 868MHz radio support local setup and myenergi system communication.

Energy management is commissioned to the property

myenergi lists solar and battery integration, optional dynamic load balancing and support for up to two external CTs. These features depend on correct CT positions, network setup and commissioning. They do not guarantee a particular saving or charging rate.

Identifier release note

The production catalogue’s exact untethered GLO SKU contains an additional character that is not present in the current myenergi datasheet. This content therefore describes the confirmed untethered product format without presenting the disputed production code as manufacturer-confirmed. The SKU and GTIN must remain unchanged until supplier or box evidence resolves them.

Common questions

Is a charging cable included?

No cable-in-box claim is made. This model has a Type 2 socket and the appropriate vehicle cable should be selected separately.

Does it have a front screen?

No. GLO uses the myenergi app and a local multicolour status LED.

What is the maximum charging rate?

The charger is rated up to 7kW; the vehicle, supply and configured limits determine the actual rate.

"Ordered a Hypervolt charger, power cable and a fuse box. Waited a week to be told that both the cable and fuse box were out of stock. They upgraded the cable from 4mm to 6mm at no extra cost as the 6mm was in stock, however the cable supplied was Prysmian rather than the Doncaster Cables EV Ultra that was actually advertised on the website. The fuse box I found cheaper elsewhere so they cancelled and refunded that part of the order. Easy and helpful to deal with but could be better on the communication and keeping the stock situation up to date on the website."
